Sexual offences, child under 13

EL instructed by: Stuart Matthews, Reeds Solicitors

D was charged with two counts of the sexual assault of a child under 13 and two counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. The offences were alleged to have taken place over a period of three years, starting when the child was seven years old. D was the boyfriend of the child’s older sibling and the alleged offending was said to have ceased when the relationship ended. D accepted that he stayed at the family home on a regular basis but denied any sexual activity with the complainant.

D was found not guilty.
