Eleanor Laws KC successfully defended a father accused of serious regular sexual abuse of his own daughter who was committed to a mental health care unit for 9 months and made repeated allegations to mental health professionals during this time and thereafter to a foster carer. The case involved obtaining, reviewing and utilising substantial Family Court Proceedings. In addition, the case involved expert evidence on memory and mental health issues. The defendant was acquitted.
